Valentine's Day - Something That Should Be Cherished All Year Round or Just That Day?

For me personally, I'm not really big on Valentine's Day. I have nothing against it, but my ideal is - if you are going to talk about love and show someone love, it should be a year round thing. One commercially accepted so-called holiday should not suffice as a reason to show someone warmth, love, care, etc. If I'm in a relationship, I show my love, period. Forget a valentine. You are with the person because you generally care about that person and his/her well being. So showing love on a regular basis should be on auto-pilot. Whether it be the little things or the big things. From time to time, you should spoil or let them know in a big way why you love that person. I don't need a "holiday" to tell me I love someone. I mean, I'd still do it just for the simple fact my special lady would celebrate it..but I'm honestly not big on Valentine's Day.
